2nd day back at college

This image was inspired by the front cover of an issue of Vice. It's called the 1994 issue and the front cover consists of multiple images of actress and designer Chloe Sevigny looking like a fun girl.

I made the model in this image look perfectly pale. This was inspired by the vampire look that so many people are in to right now.

This image was inspired by the grid portrait of Kate Moss by Corinne Day. I was also inspired by the look of hollywood glamour and old-school beauty.

This image was inspired by Andy Warhol. i liked his use of colour against black. I chose to have the squares of this image to be wonky and un-evenly sized. This is to represent the artistic and unique sides of the subject. I was also playing on the fact that Warhol's images were un-even.

the half term is over so I'm back in college and have started this project. Yesterday we got a brief called 'studio blog shoot'. I wasn't very pleased with this because we have have been in the studio recently, and I'm not a huge fan of studio photography. I was really looking forward to doing what i wanted so this was a bit of a disappointment. The aim of this brief was to get into groups, research 2 artists and images and decide what to do in studio as a group. Unfortunately I was late for the class so I had a slow start. Another girl in my class, Claire was also late so instead of joining a group, we decided to go together. We decided to research Corinne Day's work because we both like her style of photography. We came up with several ideas such as; doing a shoot with fairy lights, which was inspired by the image of Kate Moss in her apartment surrounded by fairy lights, taken by Day. Unfortunately Claire wasn't in this morning, so we couldn't do our shoot. This doesn't really bother me because I wasn't really looking forward to being in the studio, but I did think that we came up with some good ideas so I would quite like to do it another day and finish our task.
